A mobile unit is being used instead.
Scarborough Hospital's CT Scanner has been out of action today after developing a fault.
York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust say an engineer is expected on site today to assess the situation and ascertain how long it might take to repair.
The trust say a mobile CT scanner that is on site is being used instead.
Callers to This is the Coast reported that patients were being wheeled out to the mobile unit.
It's not clear when the main CT Scanner developed the fault or how long the mobile scanner will be able to remain on site.
Meanwhile it's understood that both Scarborough and York hospitals have been moved to their highest OPEL pressure levels today signifying significant demand on hospital services.
