The seven day COVID infection rate in the Scarborough Borough is starting to creep back up.
Last week the infection rate fell to 8 cases per 100 thousand people, the lowest level since August but over the last few days the rate has increased to 24 which is now the highest in North Yorkshire.

Richard Webb is North Yorkshire County Councils director of Health and Adult services, he says data across the county is fluctuating.
Ryedale has an infection rate of zero, in the Selby District the number has fallen drastically since an outbreak last month, falling from 68 in early may to just 13 today.
Public Health Consultant, Dr Victoria Turner, says that while there is some volatility in the local numbers, all areas of the county are reporting infection rates below the English average.
