North Yorkshire County Council has outlined plans for the next year.
The authority wants to work with the police, fire, health and other bodies to achieve best practice on things like I.T systems.
It's been revealed that other authorities have had problems with cyber attacks and it's hoped these plans will stop that from happening to NYCC.
A series of workshops are planned with a robust system in place the end goal.
