As part of a major shake up last year, new Integrated Health partnerships were created to bring together health professionals from the NHS, public Health and social care.
Andy Kingdom is the East Riding's director of public health he says they are looking a creating a health and care strategy that is built from the bottom up.
There is also a suggestion that the major changes to the way health care is delivered in Bridlington could to be used as a model to help drive forward a health and care strategy for the Yorkshire Coast.
The new Integrated Care Partnership, which was created last year, has bought together professionals from the NHS, Public Health and the Care sector to look at health care and social issues together.
Chief Exec of the Humber NHS Foundation Trust, Michele Moran, says there is a need for a coastal strategy.
