A programme of improvements to public spaces across the Scarborough Borough as been outlined by the borough council as it launches the second phase of project sunshine.
The idea is to perform maintenance and upgrades to a range of public spaces.
Two million pounds is being spent across the borough.
Council officer Lynn Williams outlines some of the projects in Scarborough.
Two million pounds is being spent across the borough, £870k is to be spent in Scarborough with £190k in Filey and £75k in the villages.
Lynn Williams says there is also a big programme of work in Whitby including repairs to the cliff lift.
Lynn says that Filey will also a number of schemes delivered as part of the programme.
In addition to the town specific works there will be a number of general improvements made across the borough
Lynn Williams adds that there is also money being spent in the borough's villages.
£2m has been allocated for the project a recent public budget consultation showed over 76% of respondents supporting phase 2 delivery.
