The organisers of Bridlington's Business Day have announced Clare Balding CBE as the keynote speaker for the event taking place on Friday 9 June at Bridlington Spa.
The Business Day is an annual networking event tailored to a day of discovery insight, with over 700 business leaders coming together for the event that will again be hosted by Gyles Brandreth.
Clare Balding is an award-winning broadcaster and author. She has worked on every Olympic Games since 1996 and on every Paralympics since 2000. Clare won BAFTA’s Special Award for her work on London 2012 and continues to present major events in sport, factual documentaries and Royal events, including the wedding between Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
A passionate campaigner for equality and women’s sport, Clare is also a best-selling author of two memoirs and three novels for children. Her latest book, and first non-fiction children’s book, Fall Off, Get Back On, Keep Going, was released in April 2021. In June 2022, it was announced in the Queen’s Birthday Honours List that Clare had been awarded a CBE for her services to Sport and Charity. Clare was invested as a Commander of the British Empire by HRH The Princess Royal in December 2022 at Buckingham Palace.
