Major improvements have been conducted over the last few weeks to improve the electrical supply infrastructure for the Christmas Lighting.
The display in Filey has suffered technical for the last few years.
Filey Town Council Deputy Mayor, Linda Randall, said that they are working hard to make sure that an improvement is made.
In August, the town council voted to enter into a three year deal with a new supplier to install a new electrical system and Christmas lights display.
The first year costs will be covered by money from North Yorkshire Council and Yorkshire Coast BID, but after that the town will need find around 38 thousand pounds a year to fund the scheme.
Filey Town Councillor Sam Cross says that it will hopefully cut out any previous issues.
Filey Town Council says it has been working in partner-ship with North Yorkshire Council in conducting major improvement works to the electrical supply infrastructure for the Christmas Lighting, at a considerable cost to the Council.
The Town Council says:
"The Christmas Lighting display in Filey has suffered from interruptions in electrical supply for the last few years which have been frustrating to be
residents and Councillors alike. This work we are promised will prevent any further such issues. It is planned that the new and improved lighting display, which is costing the Council much more that in previous years, is planned to be installed and lit up in the week commencing 20th November. "
