A senior health director has paid tribute to the county's vaccination programme as Coronavirus numbers in local care homes remain low.
The COVID situation in North Yorkshire care homes remains stable according to the County Council.
Richard Webb is the authority's Director of Health and Adult Services, he says there has been a slight increase in cases over the last week but the numbers across the county's 235 care settings remain low:
There were just 4 cases of COVID in North Yorkshire 235 care settings last week.
All four were isolated incidents with no outbreaks reported.
Richard says the strength of the vaccination programme has played a key part in those low numbers:
