Last week's Bring a Pound to Work Day event on the Yorkshire Coast raised over £5000 for Saint Catherine's
The fundraiser had been delayed from March because of the lockdowns.
Teams from Scarborough Business Ambassadors, Saint Catherine's and This is the Coast were out collecting your coins and many people also donated online and through text messaging.
The final total was £5011.
Tom from Saint Catherine's says it's a great result.
Hundreds of local businesses took part in the day, with staff members taking a pound to work. For the first time this year an online Just Giving Page was used to enable workers not yet back in the office to take part, SMS text donation was also used for the first time.
After a tough year for all organisations who rely on fundraising, Tom from Saint Catherine's says the money is a massive help.
The teams at Saint Catherine's, Scarborough Business Ambassadors and This is the Coast have thanked everyone who has donated to this year's appeal.
