Bridlington Town aim to maintain their winning momentum as they travel to Ossett United this Tuesday, following a decisive FA Trophy victory against higher-ranked Whitby Town.
Winning momentum will be put to the test on Tuesday as Bridlington Town travel away to face Ossett United.
The upcoming fixture follows a highly successful weekend performance where the team completely outplayed their higher-ranked neighbours, Whitby Town. This commanding victory on the pitch ensured that Bridlington Town sailed seamlessly into the next round of the FA Trophy.
The squad are now hoping to carry on directly from where they left off on Saturday and continue their strong run of form.
Speaking to Brid Town TV following the weekend's cup success, Manager Scott Kerr confirmed that he wants his side to just keep on going.
He noted that returning players are creating selection challenges ahead of the Ossett United clash, while also reflecting on a recent defeat that prevented a longer unbeaten run for the club.
Manager Scott Kerr said:
"We try to create that winning mentality as a group that want to keep pushing each other to be better, it gives me a headache now on Tuesday, because we've got a couple coming back. Jacob's available. Toby Merritt he's available, so I've got a little bit of a headache. Me being me, the disappointing thing for me, I've straightaway looked back and gone, "I'm more peeved off that we got beat by Silsden 4-2," because we should've been five games unbeaten now. But it is what it is, so we'll go again Tuesday, but we have to keep that standard."
