Brid led at half-time through Michael Coulson's 17th- minute effort.
However, promotion-chasing Matlock Town roared back to lead 3-1.
But Brid weren't beaten yet and Jake Day gave them hope at 3-2, with four minutes left.
It was then agony for the visitors as Olly Green rattled the post in the 92nd minute.
