The 2020 Bridlington Scooter Rally has been called off in light of the COVID restrictions but the town has secured the 2021 event.
Bridlington Leisure Association say that they've had lengthy discussions with the Yorkshire Scooter Alliance and have come to the conclusion that..
"Under the current COVID restrictions this years scooter rally in Bridlington can not take place safely.
We feel to do so would be putting the towns businesses and peoples lives at risk.
Bridlington is our priority and we want the best for this town and this would not be worth the risk to the town and the people who live here.
In some better news we look forward to welcoming the YSA to Bridlington next year as we have secured it for October 2021"
The YSA say that under the latest Government guidelines it wouldn't be possible to allow the Scooter Show & Parts Fare to go ahead or allow any live music to take place.
In a post on social media they say..
"We would like to thank everyone who has supported the YSA, the organisers for all their hard work, the Bridlington Leisure Association for their commitment & Bridlington Council for doing everything they could to allow the event to go ahead."
The YSA say they will now start working on next year's Bridlington End of Season Rally which will be Friday 29th and Saturday 30th October 2021
