Bridlington Roundtable has reaffirmed its commitment to the local community by making significant donations aimed at supporting families, schools, and charities in the area
The fundraising organisation has highlighted its ongoing efforts to enhance the lives of residents through various initiatives saying:
"This year, we’ve been proud to make a series of donations that directly help local families, schools, and charities in need,"
The donations have covered a wide range of causes, demonstrating the group's dedication to addressing community needs.
Some of the notable contributions include:
- Bridlington Street Angels received £100 to support their outreach efforts.
- A contribution of £300 was made to assist a local rugby player, described as a "rising star," in his journey toward professional sports.
- The organization has also pledged £1,800 to support Sam Waddington, an inspirational Paralympic athlete from Bridlington.
- A group of local youths aiming to improve lives in Borneo received £550, which will help them enrich their education and experiences.
- Bridlington Hospital's community ward benefited from £1,647.60 for vital outdoor furniture to enhance patient and staff comfort.
- The Harbourside Theatre group was granted £308.73 for podcasting equipment, enabling elderly community members to engage in creative pursuits from home.
- Additional support included £109.55 for a Majorette Sponsorship Trophy, £713 for carpets for a family in need, and £473.11 for security alarms for a local widow who experienced a break-in.
While these contributions reflect the organization's efforts, Bridlington Roundtable emphasised that this is merely "the tip of the iceberg." Adding that
"This is just the tip of the iceberg!
Due to safeguarding concerns and the privacy of the families we help, we can’t always share every story or cause publicly.
Rest assured, though, when you donate to us, visit our Santa sleigh, or support us in any way, 100% of your generosity goes straight back into the Bridlington community.
No overheads, no elsewhere – just pure, direct impact on the people who make our town special.
Thank you for standing with us! Together, we’re building a stronger, kinder Bridlington. "
