Scarborough's cricketers lost out again in Yorkshire Premier North on Saturday, but can bounce back quickly as they also play Sunday.
Boro were again bowled out cheaply, at home to Woodhouse Grange, at North Marine Road.
They had high hopes too after three wickets each from Tristin Van Schalkwyk and Clarke Doughney, with the visitors restricted to 182/8 from their 40 overs.
Scarborough would've had high hopes then going into their reply.
However the hosts never recovered from being 65/5 and eventually were skittled for 133, losing by 49 runs. Jack Redshaw top-scored with 31.
Boro take on Treeton at North Marine Road from 1pm in the ECB National Cup.
In YPN Championship East, Folkton & Flixton demolished Driffield Seconds.
Connor Stephenson impressed with 5/42 as Driffield limped to 179/9 from their 50 overs.
The villagers then knocked off 180 in the 40th over, losing four wickets. Skipper Harry Walmsley made an unbeaten 86 with Will Hutchinson adding a useful 40.
Elsewhere in the same division, Bridlington made 147/9 from their 50 overs against Hull Zingari. However, the visitors eased to victory by ten wickets.
A superb bowling display took Whitby to victory on Saturday in North Yorkshire South Durham Division One.
After being skittled for just 127- Kai Morris top-scoring with 48- the hosts may have been expecting the worst, at the Turnbull Ground.
However, the Richmondshire were rolled over for just 66, with Aussie debutant Joel Lloyd taking 5 for 30. Steve Allen and Kobie Boocock also impressed with two wickets apiece.
