The coroner has today made the confirmation.
The Coroner has today confirmed that the body of a man found near to train tracks in Scarborough last Thursday is missing Whitby man Peter Brown.
Peter was last seen in Scarborough in May 2019.
British Transport Police officers contacted North Yorkshire Police last Thursday morning after locating a man’s body in some overgrowth, near to train lines in the Seamer Road area of Scarborough.
The family have asked for their privacy to be respected at this very difficult time.
