The Seasiders rose two places after a 1-0 win at play-off chasing Gainsborough Trinity, on Saturday.
Leading goalscorer Brad Fewster fired the winner.
Town have a busy February with eight matches in all this month- the Blues are back in action- at home to fellow strugglers Morpeth- on Tuesday night.
