Staff at Ayton and Snainton Medical Practice are gearing up for their very own Bake Off event in aid of Saint Catherine’s.
From November 1, teams at the surgery in Pickering Road, West Ayton will be following baking themes over a six-week period and selling their creations for £1 a slice to team members to raise funds.
The themed weeks will feature cakes, biscuits, savouries, bakes from your childhood, ‘not baked’ week and Christmas bakes. The event will also feature a raffle with donated prizes up for grabs.
Kerry Kay, practice administrator who is organising the event, said:
“We have chosen to support our local hospice this year as we realise that during the pandemic fundraising efforts have been seriously depleted.”
If you would like to support the team’s fundraising, they have a Just Giving page at https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/aytonandsnaintonbakeoff
Kerry added:
"We are hoping to have a local celebrity guest to come and support our Bake Off event during the final week."
