A Navy minesweeper and RAF Hawk visit Scarborough as part of the Armed Forces Day flag flying events.
A week of activity is underway as Scarborough prepares to host the Armed Forces Day National Event on Saturday.
This morning Flag Flying ceremonies took place in Scarborough, Whitby and Filey.
In Scarborough the flag was delivered by The Royal Navy Hunt-class mine counter-measures vessel, HMS Brocklesby and a team of Navy Divers.
Commodore Phil Waterhouse is the Joint Military commander for Armed Forces day, speaking on This is the Coast he explained the plan for the morning's event.
Scarborough Sea Cadets collected the flag from the divers on the beach and relayed it across Foreshore Road and up through St Nicholas gardens. delivering the flag to the Mayor of the Borough of Scarborough, Councillor Eric Broadbent, at the Town Hall.

The flag raising ceremony was attended by Royal Navy personnel, veterans, standard bearers, representatives of the Royal British Legion, cadets and invited guests, it saw a fly past by an aircraft from the joint Hawk Squadron.
In Whitby the town's flag flying event included visits from military vehicles and a parade featuring hundreds of local school children.
