Potential sighting of missing woman leads police to ask drivers to check dash cam footage.
Searches are continuing after 46 year-old Sarah West went missing from her home on Stepney Road in Scarborough on Sunday morning.
Sarah was last seen around 7am at home on Sunday morning by family but new information has also shown she was walking southbound on the A165 near Cayton Bay around 8am the same day.
North Yorkshire Police is appealing for anyone driving on the A165 between 7.30am and 8am on Sunday morning who may have dashcam footage to get in touch by calling 101.
Sarah is believed to be wearing jeans and a blouse top. She has medium length dark blonde/brown hair, wears glasses and is of a very slim build.
We also have information to suggest Sarah may be walking the Cleveland Way coastal path so would ask anyone walking in areas near the path to be vigilant and report any sightings to the police immediately.
