The Yorkshire Air Ambulance has received just over eighteen thousand pounds from fundraising activity at the Olivers Mount Race Circuit.
The Scarborough racetrack managed to stage two events in August and September with the air ambulance being the nominated charity.
Helen Callear from Yorkshire Air Ambulance says its been a tough year for their fundraising efforts as a result of COVID.
Andy Hays from the circuit says with the COVID situation, getting those two events on, was a great achievement in what's been a challenging year.
The team at Oliver's Mount Race Circuit say they hope to run four events next year, but that flexibility is going to be key.
Andy Hays says planning is now underway for next year.
Andy says the support of the local authorities was instrumental to getting those events staged and bodes well for next year's events.
