The engine that started it all will be running again today exactly 90 years after it's first excursion.
Scarborough's North Bay Railway is 90 years old today.
The attraction opened in 1931 and has been a favourite with visitors and locals ever since.
General Manager Steve Johnson says what's really impressive is that the original engines are still running 90 years on.
The first service ran at 2pm on May 24th 1931.
The same engine will be pulling the train at 2pm today.
Steve Johnson says it's a great achievement for the 90 year old locomotives, which do take a bit of looking after.
Due to the current COVID regulations there is no big celebration of the milestone today, but the team at the railway say they hope to mark the 90th year properly at a steam gala event later in the year.
The very first day the railway operated was caught on film back in 1931.
