Road and footpath improvements are due to begin along a Bridlington street from Monday.
East Riding of Yorkshire Council is to invest £70,000 to upgrade the road and path along Grange Road in the town, starting on Monday 1 December.
The project is expected to take up to three weeks to complete, with work carried out during the daytime.
The scheme will involve resurfacing the existing road and footpath, installing new kerbing and drainage channels and replacing gully covers.
To enable the work to be carried out safely, Grange Road will be closed to all traffic for the duration of the construction part.
Access to properties within the area will be maintained where possible.
The work will be carried out by the council’s own road and footpath maintenance team.
Councillor Paul West, the council’s cabinet member for environment and transport, said:
“These improvements are necessary to upgrade this deteriorating road and footpath.
“Thank you to local residents and motorists for their patience while we carry out these works.”
