Nearly 65,000 people in the borough have had two doses of a COVID vaccine.
The figures from Public Health England show that 68% of Scarborough’s population has now had two doses of a Covid-19 vaccine and more than 83% of residents have had at least one jab.
The news comes as coronavirus rates in the Scarborough Borough have continued to rise with the borough hitting its highest rate since April.
More new cases are being recorded across the county every day as the average rate for Scarborough has increased from 22 per 100,000 people yesterday to 25 today.
It equals the borough’s highest rate since April 4.
Selby has the highest rate in North Yorkshire at 144 ahead of Craven on 116.
North Yorkshire as a whole has an average rate of 76, up five on yesterday while the rate for England as whole is 97.
