The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for ice along the Yorkshire Coast.
Scattered wintry showers are expected to create hazardous conditions on untreated roads, pavements, and cycle paths. The warning is in effect from 4 PM today (January 9th) until 10 AM tomorrow.
Motorists, pedestrians, and cyclists are urged to exercise caution, as icy patches could lead to slips and falls.
The Met Office advises residents to plan their journeys, allowing extra time and checking for road closures or delays to public transport. Sticking to main roads, which are more likely to have been treated, is also recommended.

The warning highlights a medium likelihood of icy patches developing, with a low impact expected.
The icy conditions are anticipated to arise as temperatures plummet below freezing overnight, following scattered wintry showers feeding inland from the North Sea. Although snow accumulations are predicted to be minimal, reaching 1-3 cm primarily on hills above 150m, even a light dusting can contribute to slippery surfaces.
Residents are encouraged to stay abreast of the latest forecasts and heed the advice issued to minimize the risk of accidents and travel disruptions.
