Monday, 1 August is Yorkshire Day - and that's the date of the next book group at Bridlington Central Library, at 1.30pm.
Book group members suggested that the August session should celebrate Yorkshire authors and for the library to display a selection of books, for members to choose from.
The group also felt it would be interesting to record the place of birth for some Yorkshire authors and they listed people they knew of collectively including Winifred Holtby of Rudston and Scarborough's Susan Hill.
Anybody is welcome to along to the Book Group on Monday, 1 August at 1.30pm at Bridlington Central Library and experience some fine Yorkshire writers.
Librarian Sarah Hutchinson said:
“The book group at Bridlington Central is thriving, and we are very much looking forward to a special Yorkshire-themed session on Yorkshire Day! If you have any interest in reading, please do come along and join us!”
