The charity shop says footfall is down since the closure.
Scarborough's Mencap Charity shop says it's seen a big drop in customers since the closure of the town's Wilko store.
The Mencap shop is right next to the former Wilko in the Balmoral Centre.
Jenny Stamford from the shop says they are struggling.
Jenny says the weeks before Wilko closed were busier than usual.
Scarborough & District Mencap was founded in 1953 by a group of parents who came together to provide support to the wider community. Over their years of service, they have launched several initiatives and projects that have gone on to grow and become separate autonomous service provisions.
The Scarborough and District Mencap team have just created a new wheelchair friendly accessible toilet at the back of the Balmoral Centre shop not just for their service users but for anyone in town who may need it.
The Mencap Shop is open from Tuesday to Friday from 10am to 4pm and on Saturday from 12:30pm to 4:30pm.
