The Blues take on second-placed Worksop Town, in NPL Premier, at the Towbar Express Stadium, on Saturday.
Whitby are two points clear of the relegation zone with a game in hand on most of the sides below them.
The Blues have brought in centre/left-back Nathan McGinley, who has returned to the club from Spennymoor Town.
Town are also hoping to have ex-Scarborough midfielder Michael Woods fit again for the clash.

Worksop beat Whitby 3-0 in November.
Kick-off on Saturday is 3.00pm.
