It was termed the battle of Bamber Bridge when Whitby Town hosted the Lancashire side earlier in the season.
Now the Blues return to face the Preston outfit again, but away from home, on Saturday.
Town lost 2-0 that day after a red card for Frankie Whelan after a late challenge on Ewan Bange. Whelan had been sporting a head bandage after what he and Blues fans and players thought was an earlier elbow from Bange that went unpunished.
Left-back Sam Collins may return, with goalkeeper Shane Bland confirmed as back for the clash after a three-match injury lay-off.
He told Whitby Town TV he's expecting a tough clash:
"Yeah, Bamber Bridge is a tough place to go to. Obviously they're flying in the league at the moment. Always in and around that position at this time of the season. And yeah the looking strong, I think the game at home again I don't want to sound salty, but I just think how the game panned out there, wasn't fair for us, if I'm honest.
"I think obviously we had a poor referee that day. Decisions didn't go our way. Bamber Bridge came to our place and they did what they needed to do. It's a results business and that can be football at times, but yeah, Bamber Bridge, they're a good team. It's going to be a good test."
Kick-off is 3pm with live commentary on This Is The Coast Extra.
