Blues stopper Shane Bland will be taking some time away for personal reasons.
The gloveman made his 449th appearance for the club in Saturday's 2-0 win at Bamber Bridge.
A club statement reads:
'Whitby Town can confirm that Shane Bland will be taking a step away from football for the remainder of January.The goalkeeper has made the decision to step back from the game due to personal reasons, and will return to the fold in February.
Everyone at Whitby Town is fully supportive of Shane at this time, and look forward to welcoming him back next month.'
