The Blues make the short trip to Guisborough Town, led by Nathan Haslam, on Saturday, in the Mickey Skinner Memorial Trophy.
Haslam took Town to the FA Cup First Round Proper in 2023, before departing the club following a poor start last season.
The Blues are looking to bounce back from last week's 2-0 defeat to Hartlepool United in their third pre-season outing.
A number of former Whitby players in the Guisborough ranks include defender Callum Martin, winger Josh MacDonald and striker Jason Blackburn.
Kick-off for the derby is 3.00pm with live commentary on This Is The Coast Extra.
