The Blues beat an old adversary 4-1 despite conceding inside 30 seconds.
Whitby lost at Ashton United by the same score as recently at 2023. Town Striker Jake Charles was an Ashton player that day.
After six winless games in a row, when the Oldham side took the lead on 24 seconds, it looked like another long day for Gary Liddle's men.
But the Blues fought back with Charles gifted a tap in after a goalkeeping error.
Then, just before half-time, Connor Smith fired home to put Whitby ahead for the first time.

Layton Watts netted his first goal of the season and James Harrison his first for the club to put the result beyond doubt in the second half.
