Scarborough's Saint Catherine's warns it doesn't do door-to-door fundraising.
The fundraising team at Saint Catherine's in Scarborough have issued a warning about people going door to door collecting money.
The Yorkshire Coast charity have issued a statement saying..
"We wanted to make you all aware that Saint Catherine's does not engage in door-to-door fundraising.
Should you have someone approach you via this method and claim to be from Saint Catherine's this will not be the case - please do not give them any money or personal banking information.
All of our supporters will have ID or a letter of authority when fundraising for us but this will not include authority for door-to-door fundraising.
Please contact us on (01723) 378406 and the police on 101 (non-emergency) should you be suspicious of any fundraising activity."
