Flames and smoke could be seen billowing out from the kitchen area of Betton Farm in East Ayton this evening.

This evening Betton Farm, posted this update to concerned locals:
Evening. Just to inform all our customers of the tea room. We have tonight had a fire in the kitchen. Tearoom will be closed with immediate effect. We will keep you all posted. Students still attend on Monday.
Betton Farm has long been popular with locals with its tea room, play farm with animals, play areas, farm shop, bakery and more.
It is also a popular venue for functions.
