Plans to deliver the COVID booster jab at the same time as the Flu jab in North Yorkshire are being hampered by issues with vaccine supply.
It was hoped pressure on the NHS could be reduced by doing both jabs at the same time, but Chief Nurse Sue Peckitt says that might not now be possible:
Health leaders in North Yorkshire say they are working hard to deliver the COVID booster jab at the same time as the flu vaccine, but say there are problems with getting the vaccine deliveries to tie up.
North Yorkshire CCG say they won't allow delays to the delivery of one vaccine to hold up people getting access to the the other.
North Yorkshire GP Dr Sally Tyrer says being able to do both at once would take enormous pressure off the local health service:
