Youngsters in Scarborough will be able to access free water safety lessons this August.
The free lessons for youngsters are provided by the RNLI and Swim England.
The Scarborough sessions in August will be funded by the Andrew McGowen Legacy Fund
Donna Loveland is chair of the fund.
The Andrew McGeown Legacy Fund was set up by friends and family of Andrew who tragically drowned in 2015, and as part of his legacy they fully fund the delivery costs of the Swim Safe programme in the town.
The Swim Safe sessions will be taking to North Bay. The RNLI and Swim England will be offering 7 to 14 year olds sessions on staying safe in and around water.
Andrew McGowen Legacy Fund Chair Donna Loveland says there are plenty of spaces.
More details about the free sessions and the availability can be found here https://swimsafe.org.uk/locations/scarborough?switchBooking=public#results
