A Scarborough Dance Academy are celebrating after competing at a national competition.
Anne Taylor’s Academy of Dance took part in the British Association of Teachers of Dancing (BATD) National Freestyle Scholarships in Glasgow last weekend.
23 dancers from the academy were selected by BATD examiners to compete at the competition.
Out of the 137 senior dancers that were picked from all over the country to compete, local dancers Isabella Quest won and Lola Boyes, Amy Dicks, Lacee Adams & Molly Hartnett all reached the final.

Accreditations were also awarded to Lola Boyes, Amy Dicks & Isabella Quest.
Amisha Atkinson, Willow Thornton & Sophie Rudlinton were all Junior Scholarship Finalists from a field of 157 competitors.
The dancers also got to compete in a solo section which in the senior’s freestyle category Lola Boyes won. Isabella Quest & Ruby Rainton both got into the final and Lacee Adams reached the Semi finals.

Ava Thornton made it to the final in the Hip Hop category.
Olivia Smith Got into the final of the slow dance category.
In the junior solos Amisha Atkinson reached the final in the freestyle category and Lola Rudlinton reached the semi finals in the slow Dance.

The Academy say
"All the girls are both a credit to Anne Taylor’s Academy of Dance and Scarborough showing a mass amount of talent not only for been selected but for how well they did."
