A consultation on the master plan for Scarborough's North Bay received over 700 responses from the public.
The master plan aims to set out a vision for the regeneration of the area.
It includes proposals to increase capacity at the open air theatre and add some weather cover to parts of the venue.
It also suggests creating new visitor attractions and accommodation in the area.
Alex Richards is the Borough Council's Head of Regeneration, he says there have been a large number of responses which are now being analysed.
The borough council has employed a team of consultants to develop the proposals, they were tasked with focussing their study on the areas formerly incorporated within the Sands. The consultants were also instructed to consider the wider context of the North Bay including the complimentary site of the former indoor pool, and connectivity both physically and strategically to the wider town area, Peasholm Park and Glen, Scalby Mills and North Bay coastline, the South Bay and the town centre.
The master plan makes a number of recommendations, including:
1. The Open Air Theatre

Borough Council Head of Regeneration - Alex Richards - says the responses will now be fully analysed but says there seems to have been a positive response to the plans.
