Storm Arwen has wiped out both Scarborough Athletic and Whitby Town's scheduled home matches today.
Due to the strong gales, Athletic's clash with Grantham Town and Town's home game with Nantwich Town have both been postponed.
Scarborough said there's was called off for safety reasons including to consider fans travelling to the fixture.
Whitby reported the postponement was related to their floodlights which had been affected by the winds. The Blues had their old set of pylons blown down in 1995 prompting a sustained fundraising campaign.
Scarborough RUFC have also called off their scheduled game in North One East with Ilkley, as have Whitby RUFC, who were due to host Barnard Castle.
Local grassroots fixtures in the North Riding, Scarborough and Beckett Leagues have also been affected.
