As the number of COVID cases in North Yorkshire's hospitals increased this week the county's Director of public health is urging everyone to keep applying COVID safety measures.
Louise Wallace says with the Yorkshire Coast likely to see a large influx of visitors over the coming weeks it's important that we keep the simple measures in place.
The COVID infection rate in the Scarborough Borough has fallen this week after hitting an all time high last week, but it remains High and the number of people needing hospital treatment for COVID in the borough has increased from 3 to 9.
Louise Wallace says with more people now travelling around the country for summer holidays, it's also important to carry on following the self isolation rules.
