A special 'gig of a lifetime' is being staged this afternoon by friends of Scarborough musician Tom Davenport.
The gig of a lifetime is taking place at Scarborough Spa Today.
Friend's, Family and Students of Scarborough Music legend Tom Davenport are coming together to stage a special fundraising event.
Tom was diagnosed with terminal cancer late last year, since then friends of the Scarborough singer, songwriter and music tutor have been raising funds to help Tom create some lasting memories with his wife and son.
Jim Taylor is one of those helping to put on this afternoon's event.
Tom is well known on the Yorkshire Coast as a singer, songwriter and music tutor.
The once-in-a-lifetime gig has been organised by his music-loving friends and will see an eclectic mix of students, past and present; friends, young and old and family from near and far, expertly choreographed alongside some of the best bands and artists are local area has to offer.
Friend, Jim Taylor, says this afternoon gig will involve many of Tom's bandmates and students.
