Visitors have told us they're visiting the Yorkshire Coast to make the most of the warm weather, before Autumn kicks in.
Jill and Dave from Chesterfield visited Scarborough to ESCAPE the heat. Back home in Derbyshire it was 28C, whereas on South Bay Beach yesterday it was a more manageable 20C when we spoke to them yesterday afternoon.
And they love Scarborough so much, they've decided to stay for week instead of two days:
Bill and Susan from York were also enjoying South Bay yesterday. They brought camping chairs, sun cream and a cool bag filled with drinks:
It's not been wall to wall sunshine though. Last night we took this very evocotive photo of the Endeavour replica shrouded in mist in Whitby Harbour:

The sea fret is being stubborn and is slow to burn away today in our Yorkshire Coast seaside resorts.
But forecasters say we will get plenty of sunshine this weekend and temperatures by the sea will rise to close to what inland areas have been seeing. It could reach 27C on the Yorkshire Coast tomorrow, with 30C likely inland.
