A week long survey of marine life around the UK has revealed the spread of Whales and Dolphins around the UK coastline.
The last week has seen keen sea life spotters taking to the coastline across the UK and along the Yorkshire Coast as part of the annual National Whale and Dolphin watch organised by the Sea Watch Foundation.
Stuart Baines is the Yorkshire Co-ordinator for the event. Stuart says that across the country they have recorded a large number of sightings of the marine mammals.
Stuart told Paddy @ Breakfast that there have been a good number of sightings along the Yorkshire Coast, he thinks dolphin spotting is becoming something of a tourist attraction.
It's not just Dolphins that have been spotted off the Yorkshire Coast, Stuart says there have also been sightings of Minke Whales.
A local sea watch event was organised in Scarborough yesterday and Stuart says there were no shortage of Dolphins
The number of Dolphin sightings has increased dramatically on the Yorkshire Coast over the last few years, Stuart says it's down to an expansion in the size of the UK's dolphin family.
