It's the third year of Ayton Scarecrow Festival with lots of creations to spot in East and West Ayton from Saturday.
Julie Smith is from the Ayton Jubilee Committee, who organise the event.
She says it's now an annual tradition:
"It's running to the 24th of August. Maps are three pounds and they are available from the spa shop on the main street in East Ayton. There is car parking on the field, down car lane, YO13 9HW that's free car parking. It's a brilliant day out for all the family for three quid.
"There's 106 entries for the scarecrows. Spread across East and West Ayton and whoever buys a map can also submit a vote to vote for the top three, which, in their opinion, deserves to win a prize."
Julie says the competition has rapidly grown and remains popular among locals and visitors alike:
"We started it, during the year of the coronation of King Charles, and it's kind of grown from there.
"I think last year there are about 96 entries, and this year we've got an amazing 106. So there's plenty for people to see. There's refreshments on route. We've got a couple of pubs in the village. We've got fish and chips. We've got the spa shop, we've got a popup tea room, popup craft room. So there's lots and lots and lots of things for families to enjoy.
"Between the villages, there is a real sense of competition. Everybody loves to see everybody else's entries. There's a bit of friendly banter goes on, you know about who's doing what. There's a lot of secrecy around it. People kind of putting things out in the middle of the night, you know, trying to surprise the neighbours."
