Fire officers in Scarborough assisted with reports of water entering a building and affecting the electrics on Friday night.
Just after 11pm, crews confirmed water was entering the building, on Albion Road, in Scarborough due to blocked guttering.
They then created a relief hole.
Water was not affecting the electrics so advice was given to contact a tradesperson.
