Students at Scarborough Sixth Form College this September are benefiting from a new, dedicated student space within the college.
A once rarely used, outdoor area has been transformed into a modern and spacious indoor room for students complete with graffiti murals courtesy of local graffiti artist, Rew Nurse.
With the college cohort of students expanding thanks to the diverse subject offer, digital learning, and specialist teaching, the new Quad will ensure that students have enough space to meet up, study together, and socialise between lessons.
A modern design means that the space is bright with plenty of natural light, whilst air conditioning has been installed to maintain a comfortable temperature at all times of the year.
Phil Rumsey, Principal said:
“We are delighted with The Quad. It really gives the college a university-like feel and ensures that students have more places to socialise and study particularly when the weather is bad.”
