It's all part of big renovations to the group's home.
Scarborough Sea Cadets have completed repairs to their roof.
The work was badly needed and is the start of significant alterations going on at the organisation's home on East Sandgate.
Chair of the Cadets Unit Management Trustees is Bob Smith:
" The roof is now sealed and I'm pleased to say that we basically saved the building from collapse.
"We're now on phase one of the internal renovations because the steelwork was quite invasive to the building.
"We're down to the aesthetics part of phase one, which was to install another classroom, which is much needed with the amount of cadets we have and also a mezzanine training area, which we'll be using for first day training and seamanship training.
"Hopefully, that phase will be complete by the end of January, and then we'll be moving onto the installation of an all access bathroom and the utility area, which is another part of the project."
