It could be a momentous Saturday for Scarborough RUFC.
The club are looking to make history at Silver Royd.
Their Director of Rugby is Nick Ingham:
" This week is a monumental week for the club, and in fact, it's a monumental season. For those spectators who have been following closely, they'll know that Scarborough are currently top of the league, having been there for quite some time and if we beat Doncaster Phoenix this weekend, then that will secure the league title.
"And for the first time in the club's history, we'll be promoted into tier five of the National Leagues, which is absolutely fantastic for the club."
Nick paid tribute to head coach former England international Ben Foden, who came in at the start of the season:
"Credit where credit's due. Ben's been an absolutely fantastic addition to the existing coaching team that we have at the club. We were lucky that Ben joined our existing coaches as head coach and he has had a fantastic impact, as you can see, on the team this season.
"And we shouldn't underestimate or we shouldn't take away any deserved credit to the rest of the coaches, though, the full team of coaches have done an absolutely fantastic job. Giving Matty Jones a bit of credit, he's been building that over the last few seasons before handing over to Ben Foden this season.
"He said he would like promotion this season I was quite surprised that he put his flag in the sand to, to go for promotion. But, again, credit where credit's due to Ben.
"He said what he wanted to do and hopefully, cross fingers, he's done it."
The match kicks off at 3pm with Scarborough just two points from winning North East 2 and claiming promotion.
It is possible for them to lose and still top the table.
Also in North East 2, Malton & Norton visit Halifax side Old Crossleyans.
If they are promoted, Scarborough would join Driffield in North East 1- Driff visit York at 3pm.
Elsewhere, Bridlington are at Bradford & Bingley as they target promotion from Yorkshire 2.
Hornsea go to Skipton in Yorkshire 3.
