There were wins for Scarborough and Bridlington- but Whitby's rugby union side lost out on Saturday.
Scarborough enjoyed a 29-5 win over Old Brodleians at Silver Royd, in North One East.
It was a third successive victory for Matty Jones' men after Pocklington and Morley were put to the sword in recent weeks.
Bridlington are up to fourth in Yorkshire One after seeing off Huddersfield Y.M.C.A at Dukes Park.
The 40-19 success continued Brid's bright season.
In contrast, Whitby are struggling fourth from bottom in Durham and Northumberland Division Two.
They were without a game due to Covid a week earlier, but had a strong squad for Darlington's visit to White Ley's Road.
Whitby lost 45-38 in a high-scoring encounter at their breezy Showfield.
