Local people are today getting the opportunity to take a tour around the RNLI station in Scarborough.
The open day is to celebrate and fundraise for the local RNLI station with members of the public encouraged to come along and get involved with the activities.
Paul Huggins is a life boat crew member based at Scarborough station.
The open day get's underway at 10am and there will be a variety of different activities for members of the public to get involved with including behind the scenes tours of the station.
Life boat crew member - Paul Huggins - says that the event will show a different side to the station and the prevention work that they do.
