A Scarborough Man who is setting off on his second van journey to the Ukrainian border today says the situation at the border is bleak.
Derek Bratton is heading back to Ukraine again today with a van full of supplies.
It's the second time Derek has done the journey to the Polish/Ukrainian border with essential items.
He says there was a warm welcome on his last visit.
Derek is working with the Charity Van Aid to transport much needed items to the area.
It will be the second time Derek has been to the area in the last month, he says after his last visit he felt he had to go back.
Van Aid provide the items for Derek to transport to Ukraine bu Derek has to funds the cost of getting there himself. His previous trip was supported by donations from from OurCo and SALT along with funds raised through GoFundMe
